Matar's death in Air Force Intelligence custody is documented without a case-specific conviction. Dall’Oglio remains missing after an ISIS-attributed abduction, without proof of death or an individual conviction. The Douma Four remain missing; allegations against Jaysh al-Islam are not treated as a verdict. UN and UNESCO records attribute al-Asaad's murder to Islamic State. Khartabil's execution is confirmed, while the individual chain of responsibility is not adjudicated.
A civil judgment, an arrest, a warrant, organizational attribution and a final individual conviction are not interchangeable.
